SURG-232 Surgical Assisting Business Practice 3

This course is designed to introduce students to the business practice of Surgical Assisting. Course examines ethics in business including business models, marketing, the use of liability coverage, maintaining medical records and case information. This course also addresses surgical case selection for the Surgical Assistant, Informed consent, CPT and ICD-10 codes, submission of medical claims and proper documentation, including the use of software and billing companies.
