GIST-218 Custom Small Unmanned Aerial Systems 3

Students in this course will study and implement the design and configurations of small unmanned aircraft systems (SUAS) which will focus mainly on the vertical takeoff & landing platform (VTOL). An analytical study of existing systems will be performed. The physics of flight, principles of electricity, current battery technologies and embedded controllers will also be studied in order to understand proper equipment constraints. Ground control and support systems will also be studied.
