TEMS-2111 Intro to Indian Energy: Water, Land, Minerals 3 This seminar will focus on an overview of Indian Energy Resources, including land, minerals, and water. By understanding where energy resources are located and the infrastructure that exists, students will begin to appreciate the tribes’, states’, and country’s reliance on these resources. The seminar will explore the basis for tribal ownership of and rights to energy resources; tribal management of energy resources; the interface and potential conflict among tribal, state and federal agencies over the use and management of these resources; and the critical position that water holds in the delivery of these resources. Guest speakers will convey real-life knowledge and experiences throughout the seminar. Offered: Fall, Spring - Faculty Permission Required Fee - Course/Program (F) $150.00
