RDNG-099 College Reading 3 This course begins with the essential reading skills such as vocabulary, main ideas, reading rate, and inferences. Course gradually moves from shorter to longer readings and then progresses to higher level reading skills such purpose and tone, argument, and author’s bias. Metacognition, or thinking about thinking, is a focus of this class as well and students in Reading 0990 should become self-directed learners. Successful completion of this course (C or better) requires no other reading course. Corequisites: FYEX 1110 - may be taken as Prerequisite Offered: All
