PNUR-110 Nurse Aide Certification 6


This course prepares students with skills required in the care of the sick and infirm under the supervision of an RN (Registered Nurse), LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), or other health professional in nursing homes, hospitals, home care agencies, and skilled care facilities. The course classroom, college skills lab, and clinical experience in local health care facilities meets the requirements to apply for the State Certification Examination upon completion in accordance with the Omnibus Reconciliation Act.

TB test and immunizations must be current for this class.  Must be able to pass a criminal and sexual offender back ground check in order to attend the clinical portion of this course.  
Prerequisites: (RDNG 050  OR RDNG-096 ) and MATH-050  or appropriate Reading and Math Accuplacer scores.
