EDUC-2370 Reading in the Content Area 3 An exploration of developmentally, culturally and linguistically appropriate, formal and informal research- based assessments and teaching strategies in the teaching of reading at the secondary level. Students learn teaching strategies that emphasize the construction of meaning in texts, reading and study skills, and reading and writing and information literacy across the curriculum. This course includes a structured 10-hour field component.
